FAQ

What type of material is the outside of the lights?

The material is a common type of plastic called polyethylene or simply PE. It is an opaque white colour.

What does IP65,67 mean?

The IP Code (or International Protection Rating, sometimes also interpreted as Ingress Protection Rating) consists of the letters IP followed by two digits and an optional letter. As defined in international standard IEC 60529, it classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in electrical enclosures. The standard aims to provide users more detailed information than vague marketing terms such as waterproof. The first digit represents solids whilst the second represents liquids. IP65: protected from total dust ingress and protected from low pressure water jets from any direction. IP67: protected from total dust ingress and protected from immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter in depth. Hence our products that are IP65 are fine to be outside in the rain and our products that are IP67 are fine to be immersed in water such as swimming pools.

What does induction charging mean?

Induction charging utilises a new technology whereby the energy is transferred from a charging station into the electrical device. Simply place your lighting product on the charging base to charge. This means there are no exposed charging ports which are potential areas for water entry or rust.

Are the lights one colour or more? I'm confused...

One light is multiple colours. All of Larala's products use RGBW LED chips which mean that they blend together to create different colours. Red, green, blue, white, purple, pink, orange and yellow. You can have your light FIXED to one light or CHANGING through its full colour cycle.

Can I charge my light and use it at the same time?

Sure. You can charge it and use it at the same time and once fully charged the adaptor we use will cease the input of the electrical current so no harm is caused to your product. However, it is not advised to leave your light charging for a long duration of time.

How do I control the light?

All our products come with a remote control for easy use. For convenience there is a button on the underside of the light to turn on/off and change colours with one tap.

Is there a warranty?

Yes all our products have a one year warranty from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase will be needed. Should there be any immediate defects or damage from shipping contact us immediately. We do our best to keep our customers happy.

Are these indoor or outdoor lights?

Both! Because all Larala Lights products are wireless it means they can be positioned wherever one wants. Most products are waterproof meaning there's no worry if it suddenly begins to rain and they're outside. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.

When can I expect to receive my goods?

We aim to get your product to you as quickly as possible but we say 1 - 5 days incase of any delays with the courier and depending on where you are located.

I have just received my light, how do I turn it on?

The first thing you will need to do is hold down the button on the underside of the base for about 3 seconds, this will turn on your light. You can then use your remote control (ensuring you have placed the batteries we provide you with in the remote!) to control the light. NOTE your remote will not connect to the light until you have turned the light on manually.

Do you have solar lights?

You may have seen these on the market but we believe for now the technology isn't quite there. Simply because this means you have to rely on it being a sunny day - and the sun shining all day in order for your light to charge. Even high-end solar powered LED street lights struggle with this issue and these cost $1000s. When we perceive the timing is right we will introduce a solar charger so you can still charge your light from the power mains when it isn't sunny.

How do I know when my light is fully charged?

Direct charger: the light on the charging unit will turn from red to green when fully charged. Induction charger: the light on the charging unit will be red and this indicates it is working properly, inside the light itself there is an indicator light which will be red when charging and green when fully charged.
